Murphy's Gives Back!
As a neighborhood restaurant, Murphy's is passionate about community involvement. One of the many ways Murphy’s stays involved in Virginia-Highland is through Schoolyard Sprouts, a nonprofit organization that sponsors a school garden at Morningside Elementary School. Students help plant and tend to the garden throughout the year. Chef Ian participates in a series of demo’s in the school’s outdoor kitchen, showing elementary students how easy and fun cooking vegetables can be. View a clip from a spring 2014 demo below:
Murphy's Teams with Virginia-Highland to aid Atlanta Humane Society
We love our neighborhood! We are so happy to be able to participate in 'Eat, Shop, Wag & Purr' along with businesses from all over Virginia-Highland. Everyone chipped in with food, drink & donations all to help our furry friends.
Murphy's Hosts Dine-Out for Georgia Boys Choir
This summer Murphy's was happy to host a dine-out to benefit The Georgia Boys Choir. We love the opportunity to support youth and the arts. Sing on, young Atlantans!
St. Patrick's Day Success Leads to $1000 Donation to Schoolyard Sprouts
Continuing with St. Patrick's Day tradition, Murphy's sold "Joe Murphy's Irish Ale" in honor of Tom Murphy's father, Joe. The bottle even has a photo of Joe at age 19! The ale was the perfect compliment to our special St. Patrick's Day menu of Smoked Haddock Soup, Lamb Stew, and Corned Beef.
All proceeds from the sale of "Joe Murphy's Irish Ale" were donated to the Schoolyard Sprouts programs and Springdale Park and Morningside Elementary School.
Join Murphy's in the Fight Against Hunger!
Now through March 13, Murphy's will donate $1 from every specialty cocktail purchase to the Hunger Walk/Run. Enjoy any one of our Specialty Cocktails including the Ginger Snap, Pumpkin Spice, Not Your Granny's Gin Martini, Blood Orange Jalapeno Margarita, Irish Cider, or Bonzo Martini and make your contribution to the fight against hunger. Murphy's team, called "The Green Machine," will be participating in this event at Turner Field.
This annual event benefits the Atlanta Community Food Bank and raised over $500,000 last year. Hunger is a very real issue in our community with over 1.6 million Georgians and 22.3% of Georgia's children living in poverty. Help us to ensure that everyone can get the nutritious meals that they need.

Dine Out to Support Schoolyard Sprouts!
Murphy's donated 20% of the proceeds from all diners on Monday, January 31 to support the Schoolyard Sprouts program at Springdale Park Elementary School. This foundation creates and maintains an on-site garden, farm-to-school programming, and engaging curriculum for students from kindergarten through 5th grade. It is a great way for kids to learn about the foods they are eating and make healthy choices. Murphy's has been involved in this program since 1998 and is happy to contribute to such a worthy cause.
Join us for our next dine-out night on Monday, February 28 benefiting Schoolyard Sprouts at Morningside Elementary School.
